About the event

A 5-day online workshop, where we will be exploring the fundamentals of Numpy module.  Each day will include:

  • An interactive explanatory session, wherein the speaker will introduce new concepts and code together with you
  • A problem-solving session, where the learnt concept will be applied in building a mini-project such as image manipulation
  • A well-rounded take-home practice sheet will be provided at the end of each session for the participants to work on at their own pace

  • Write fairly elaborate code using NumPy arrays
  • Perform complex operations on NumPy arrays
  • Translate mathematical formulae with ease
  • Perform image manipulation by loading it as NumPy arrays

Speaker

Apoorva is an international trainer and co-founder of the startup Neural Oasis AI Studio. With a Masters in Artificial Intelligence from Oxford University, UK, Apoorva has successfully completed various projects in Machine Learning, Path Planning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Generative AI. As an interactive and engaging trainer in the field of AI, Apoorva has assisted students from universities such as Stanford University and the University of Washington. She has also provided training to professionals from countries including the USA, UK, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia. Prior to embarking on her own venture, Apoorva held positions as a Research Assistant at NTU (Singapore), IIIT-Bangalore (India), and Academia Sinica (Taiwan), as well as a software developer at Amazon. Recipient of NTU Teaching Excellence Award.
